Clinical case
Recurrence of herniated disc
Dr. Elgeadi tells us the clinical case of a patient previously operated on by open surgery and the results of a new operation with his ultra-minimally invasive technique.
Preoperative
Case of recurrence of herniated disc in Madrid, previously operated on through open surgery
The patient suffered a lot of pain in the area, aggravated by the thought of a complicated postoperative period like the one he already experienced after his first operation.
In this case, given the indication, if we wanted to operate on him by open surgery, we would have to perform spinal fixation. However, we concluded that this step was not necessary and decided to carry out a more practical, effective method that ensured less pain after surgery.
Diagnosed with tibial plateau fracture according to Schatzker's classification, type II (combination of subsidence and separation) and type VI with dissociation of the metaphysis and diaphysis.
Operation
With our ultra minimally invasive technique, through 3mm incision We solved the problem and the patient has not required fixation
Postoperative
The patient has not required fixation, nor has he had to suffer any complicated postoperative period..
Immediately the patient noticed a great improvement. He himself claimed not to feel any pain, which is why the operation was completed without any complications and with great satisfaction on the part of the patient.
