Latest generation mobile cervical prosthesis
Preoperative
This pain causes the patient to lose strength in the left arm as well as intense pain in the arm and shoulder. After unsuccessful medical and rehabilitative treatment, I told the patient that she requires a minimally invasive surgery to solve the problem.
Operation
We proceed to perform surgery where we remove the hernia and place a completely mobile disc through a 2 cm incision at skin level.
The patient experiences immediate post-surgical recovery, with neck mobility beginning half an hour after waking up and being discharged from the hospital in less than 12 hours.
Postoperative
The patient has no symptoms of pain, no paresthesias in the left arm, and tells us that the sensation of constant pressure she had in the neck area has disappeared.
Surgery with satisfactory results and immediate recovery in less than 24 hours. The patient can lead a completely normal life and begin rehabilitation in 4-5 days.
