Endoscopia de columna para abordar una hernia discal L5S1 mononivel

Clinical case

L5S1 single-level disc herniation

The patient has a L5S1 disc herniation at the exit of the nerve root, which causes a reduction in its movement, which will be treated through minimally invasive surgery.

Preoperative

On this occasion, the patient goes to Dr. Elgeadi's office with reduced mobility caused by leg pain.

The diagnosis, developed after performing all the relevant tests, is of a small disc herniation L5S1, located right at the exit of the nerve root, which makes the pain and partial loss of movement more pronounced.

Operation

The hernia will be removed with a minimally invasive endoscopy technique, with an incision of about 2 mm, that is, it will leave a minimal scar on the patient and guarantees a much faster recovery than in the case of conventional interventions.
