  1. I had lumbar surgery, they put screws in. This surgery was done a year ago in Guatemala City. Although the level 10 pain has gone, I still have discomfort in my spine, but mostly in my hip and left leg. I have seen two hip specialists, they did x-rays and an MRI, both agree that my hips are fine. I think it all comes from my spine. My surgery was done a year ago and I feel like I have not stopped taking pills for pain in my hip and leg. The last thing they gave me was Etrocoxid and Tramadol with Diclofenac. Before they decided to operate on me, I had 7 injections, both in Rochester and at the Houston Methodist. I am in Honduras. I would like to have a way to send you images of my x-rays while I am moving.

  2. Hello good morning, I am from Uruguay. I was recently diagnosed with a circumferential disc protrusion in L4 and L5 without significant narrowing of the canal (13 mm) or neuroforaminal compromise, and a circumferential disc protrusion in L5 -S1 with narrowing of the canal (10 mm) and bilateral neuroforaminal compromise. Here in Uruguay they told me that it was not operable. I wanted to know your opinion since they did two blocks on me without favorable results and I am in a lot of pain.

  3. Good morning, I was diagnosed about a year ago with a herniated disc in L5 and the pain is so strong that I can't move. They recommended surgery. I am very scared. I would like to know your opinion. Thank you very much.

  6. Hello, I'm from Peru and I was diagnosed with cervical rectification of C1, C2, and C3 in my cervical spine, and a very small hernia at C6 and C7. The neurosurgeon told me it wasn't operable because they were too small, so he sent me to rehabilitation. I'm 29 years old and I'm really worried because as a result of all this, my face feels tense, my jaw on the right side feels heavy, and it's triggered tinnitus. The surgeon told me it's not serious, however, I feel terrible because I can't do my activities without feeling that heaviness and tension.

    • Hello Yanina,

It's understandable that you feel concerned, especially when symptoms affect your quality of life. Cervical rectification and small hernia repair may not be operable, but rehabilitation is an option that can help improve mobility and reduce symptoms. If you continue to have discomfort or concerns, you can always seek a second opinion to ensure the treatment you are following is the most appropriate for your case.

      Greetings!

      • Good evening, I've had ankylosing spondylitis and bilateral sacrolitis since I was 27. As a result, I've developed disc disease 3 to 7 in my neck, right convoluted scoliosis, herniated discs L3, 4, 5, and S1, and a cleft at the level of the 5th, 6th, and 7th thoracic spine. The worst part is that I've fractured two vertebrae in the latter area. The pain is very severe, and I can't walk well. I was admitted to the hospital for seven days on February 3, 2025. I'm seeing an internist, as social security only provides pills and I can live a normal life (unthinkable, since I live alone and have no one). I'm 64 and have osteoporosis. My question is, is there a private clinic where I can stay overnight and get help from doctors who handle these issues? Well, I've been on treatment since 12/24/2024, which I already had before the incident, and they inject collagen, but I'm getting worse every time.

  7. Hello, my name is Pamela Vergara, I am from Chile. I had lumbar arthrodesis and bilateral laminectomy surgery a year ago. After 3 weeks I was admitted to the operating room again because they left a bone fragment. On October 8th I had another lumbar arthrodesis because of the 4 screws placed in the first surgery, 3 were in the main nerve canal and 1 was loose. The arthrodesis had no base or bone grafts. The pain is worse than before…it affects my right hip and right leg. The lower back pain is debilitating. My doctor says that the tests showed everything was fine, but I cannot live with this pain. It has disabled me at 39 years old.
