Operation

Kyphoplasty consists of a surgical treatment with a ultra-minimally invasive technique, where the vertebra is re-expanded and subsequently cemented to restore its height as well as strengthen it.

The patient in a prone position (lying face down) and under local anesthesia with a little sedation, the vertebral body is re-expanded, restoring the original height of the vertebra and subsequently using orthopedic cement, the body is stabilized.

The wounds are minimal (approximately 2 milliliters) and are subsequently sutured with stitches that do not need to be removed.
