Clinical case
L4L5S1 canal stenosis
The patient suffers from pain in the lower extremities and has pulmonary complications that increase the possibility of complicated cervical surgery.
Preoperative
Curious case with canal stenosis with compression that appears at three levels. Partially occluded foramina at L3L4, L4L5.
At L5 we found a quite severe degenerative disc disease, which entails complete closure of the foramen.
We found hypertrophy of the yellow ligament when analyzing the MRI.
Operation
Through a 2-3 mm approach on the skin, spinal endoscopy will be performed to resolve canal stenosis and nerve compression problem.
Patient with several previous pathologies, including some pulmonary ones, which eliminates the option of invasive or open source surgery.
Postoperative
It will be resolved in the L3L4, L4L5 and L5S1 spaces that are compressing the cauda equina and the roots that come out of the foramina to end the discomfort and pain that the patient suffers in the lower limbs.
